Why study the International A-level qualifications?

International A-Levels (Advanced Level qualifications) are a UK subject-based qualification for students aged 16 and above. They are usually studied over two years, leading to qualifications that are recognised for entrance to higher education institutes all over the world. The two leading providers of International A-level qualifications are Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Pearson Edexcel.

On Monday 3 July 2023, the UK and Spain signed a bilateral agreement on co-operation in matters of education and access to university and other higher education institutions. Although International A-levels were always going to be accepted in Spanish Universities, this agreement means the A-level will continue to be accepted for the foreseeable future.
